It is impossible to overstate exactly what Saint Dog meant to this culture. Alongside D-Loc and Johnny Richter, he helped build the absolute foundation of the stoner rap-rock movement. His raw, unapologetic energy was the driving force behind the iconic early SubNoize catalog, giving us legendary verses on classics like "Stoners Reeking Havoc," "Royal Highness," and "Hidden Stash".
While he spent years carving out his own path with heavy solo projects like "Ghetto Guide" and 2019's "Bozo," his return to the Kings for 2018's "Kingdom Come" album felt like a true homecoming. It proved that the bond forged in the early days of the underground could never truly be broken. Saint Vicious always had one of the biggest hearts in the scene, known for stopping shows to pull fans in wheelchairs on stage and deeply appreciating the community that supported him.
We are sending our deepest condolences to his son Max, his family, and everyone who ever shared a stage or passed a joint with him.
