Hailing from the chilly vast land of Poland, Vader is a band who are nearly 40 years active; and this spring they will be releasing their 17th full length album and they have shown no signs of letting up. We sat with drummer James Stewart, who is the beast in the back seat with his most hard-hitting drumming technicality. We talked about how the music of metal continues to thrive in the growing underground culture, and that Vader has shown they find new ways to be innovative as they stay true to their roots, yet still continue to create music for the old school fans and new. Oh yeah, also note that his favorite Star Wars episode is Empire Strikes Back. Vader’s new album, “Solitude in Madness” is set to release this May via Nuclear Blast Records.
