Taylor Swift: Miss Americana is a raw and emotionally revealing look at one of the most iconic artists of our time during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice. Produced by Tremolo Production, the documentary is directed by Lana Wilson (The Departure) with Morgan Neville, Caitrin Rogers and Christine O’Malley serving as producers.
It is unclear whether the documentary will also be featuring Swift’s old songs from her first six albums or not because she was swept up in a public feud last year with her former label Big Machine and Scooter Braun, who currently have full ownership of the singer’s masters. Swift took to Twitter to share a personal statement, asking her fans to persuade Big Machine and Braun to allow Netflix to use her previous hit songs on her upcoming documentary.
