“We’re having those conversations. We’re working on what the story is, and when we might be able to make it. But it’s the same as the first time around: We have to try to get everyone back together again. And that was very challenging.” Neame said.

The Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital bonus features for the first film will include deleted scenes, exclusive roundtable interviews with the cast, a series recap, a feature commentary with director Michael Engler, and featurettes including The Royal Visit, True to the Twenties, Welcome to Downton Abbey, and The Brilliance of Julian Fellowes.

The critically acclaimed show’s main cast had return for the feature including award-winning actress Dame Maggie Smith,  Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, and Elizabeth McGovern. In addition to the original cast, Oscar nominee Imelda Staunton (Maleficent, Doctor Who),  Geraldine James (Sherlock Holmes), David Haig (Killing Eve), Tuppence Middleton (Sense8), Simon Jones, Kate Phillips, and Stephen Campbell Moore also appeared in the film.

Also returning from the series is its creator Academy-Award winner Julian Fellowes who wrote the film’s screenplay and had also serve as a producer alongside Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge. The Downton Abbey film was directed by Michael Engler. Series producer Nigel Marchant also returned to executive produce.
