CBS All Access unveils Tells Me a Story Season 2 trailer

The upcoming second season of the CBS All Access horror anthology series Tell Me a Story has expanded its cast with the addition of The Matrix and Netflix’s Marvel Universe alum Carrie-Anne Moss and bringing back Danielle Campbell, who starred in the first season alongside returning Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries).

Though he starred in the first season as druggie and thief Eddie Longo, one of the Three Little Pigs, Wesley will portray new character, Tucker, a struggling novelist who lives in a secluded cabin working day and night without sleep trying to prove to his beautiful fiancée he’s good enough while a dark secret threatens to upend his world.
Tell Me A Story takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interwove “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Hansel and Gretel” into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder. The second season will move on to focus on a story interweaving “Beauty and the Beast,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “Cinderella.”

Campbell, who played the first season’s Little Red Riding Hood, will portray Olivia, a strong, smart and sly woman who left her small-town life behind and moved to Nashville to pursue a master’s degree in Philosophy and Comparative Literature, but fate forces her to rely on her strength and wit to survive. She is attached to the “Sleeping Beauty” inspired storyline, which will see Supergirl alum Odette Annabelle portray the new take on the titular heroine, Maddy.
Moss will portray Rebecca, the mother to Sleeping Beauty’s Maddy, Beauty and the Beast’s Ashley (Natalie Alyn Lind, The Gifted) and Cinderella’s Jackson (Matt Lauria, Shaft), who keeps her emotions in check and was forced to raise her children by herself after losing her husband in a car crash and struggles to find a balance between tough and actual love and practicality and is ready to start focusing on herself as her children are growing up and making their own lives.
