Samara Weaving picks a card in new Ready or Not clip

Fox Searchlight has released a new clip from their upcoming thriller-comedy Ready or Not, featuring Samara Weaving’s character Grace as she picks out the card that determines her deadly fate. Set to hit theaters on August 21, you can check out the video below!

Ready or Not follows the story of a young bride who is invited on the night of her wedding by her rich and eccentric in-laws to participate in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game of survival with everyone fighting to stay alive.

Weaving leads a cast that also includes Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day), Adam Brody (Shazam!), Mark O’Brien (Halt and Catch Fire), Henry Czerny (Revenge), Kristian Bruun (Orphan Black), Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp) and Elyse Levesque (The Originals).

Last year, Fox Searchlight acquired the rights for the film in an intense bidding war against other studios. Ready or Not will be directed by directing team duo Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Oplin of the filmmaking group Radio Silence. The film’s script was co-written by Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy.

The producers are Tripp Vinson of Vinson Films and James Vanderbilt, Bradley Fischer, and William Sherak of Mythology Entertainment. Tara Farney, Tracey Nyberg, and Radio Silence’s Chad Villella are the film’s executive producers.

Weaving is an Australian actress who is best known for her role in the award-winning drama film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri which she starred alongside Academy-Award winners Frances McDormand (Fargo, Isle of Dogs) and Sam Rockwell (Green Mile, Backseat, Jojo Rabbit). She was recently seen in the Australian romantic drama series Picnic at Hanging Rock which also stars Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones).
