This ninja that I met at the Gathering asked me how to get some of his stuff featured on Faygoluvers, and I told him to hit me with an email after we all got back home. I don’t recall if he told me what he was trying to push, but he actually followed through and shot me some links.
For those who aren’t familiar, ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) is “the experience of tingling sensations in the crown of the head, in response to a range of audio-visual triggers as whispering, tapping, and hand movements” (Poerio, Blakey, Hostler, & Veltri, 2018)
If you look up ASMR on Youtube, you’ll find thousands of videos, some with MILLIONS of views, of people doing things like tapping their fingers on tables, clicking pens, painting, squeezing spray bottles, whispering, and more repetitive noises. You can read more about ASMR at PsychologyToday.com. It apparently relaxes some people, but I am definitely not one of them.
I’m all for helping people out though, so if ASMR is your thing, let me introduce you to a Juggalo who creates ASMR videos himself! He simply goes by “JuggaloASMR”, and has been making videos for about 18 months now! His latest video features him opening and closing a shampoo cap for 5 minutes straight. Yes, I’m serious.
