Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Season 2 Teaser Heads To South America
Amazon Prime Video has released the official teaser for the upcoming second season of their action thriller series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, giving us a preview of our titular hero’s next mission. Starring Emmy nominated-actor John Krasinski (The Office, A Quiet Place), the series is set to return sometime this year. Check out the video below!
In Season 2, After tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate. As Jack’s investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President’s nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos.
The new season will also feature new series regulars including Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Jovan Adepo (Sorry For Your Loss), Jordi Mollà (Bad Boys II), Cristina Umaña (Narcos), and Francisco Denis (Narcos).

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, from Paramount Television and Skydance Television, is a reinvention with a modern sensibility of the famed and lauded Tom Clancy hero, played by John Krasinski (A Quiet Place, 13 Hours). The creators of the series, Executive Producers Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Graham Roland (Fringe, Prison Break), will continue to serve as co-showrunners. Additionally, Krasinski, who also serves as an executive producer, will be reunited with Wendell Pierce who will reprise his role as James Greer in the eight-episode second season.

In the first season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, Krasinski’s Ryan is an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows the titular character as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale. The one-hour, eight-episode dramatic season also stars Wendell Pierce (The Wire) as James Greer and Abbie Cornish (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) as Cathy Mueller.

The show is produced by Paramount Television, Cuse’s Genre Arts, Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes and David Ellison’s Skydance Television. Executive producing along with Cuse, Roland and Krasinski are Platinum Dune’s Bay, Andrew Form (Transformers), and Brad Fuller. Additionally, Lindsey Springer, Mace Neufeld (Patriot Games), Vince Calandra, Andrew Bernstein, and Skydance’s Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross will also executive produce the second season with Allyson Seeger serving as a co-executive producer.
