He really is a virtuoso in the truest sense of the word, managing to juggle leading the band on Seth Meyers’s late night show while starring in his own television shows, never showing any signs of fatigue or phoniness.
In addition to some hilarious SNL characters, Armisen is responsible for one of the best sketch comedy shows ever as well as a hilarious satire of documentaries that seems like it was made for an incredibly small audience, a venn diagram intersection of absurdist humor and spoofs of famous documentaries. No matter where he goes from here, it can be certain that Armisen will always be interested in making people laugh in his own unique way.
