The Many Saints of Newark Adds John Magaro
John Magaro of The Umbrella Academy has been cast in David Chase’s The Sopranos prequel film The Many Saints of Newark, according to Deadline.

The actor joins a cast that includes Alessandro Nivola, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Billy Magnussen, and Corey Stoll. Michael Gandolfini, son of James Gandolfini, will follow in his father’s footsteps and play a younger Tony Soprano.

As with the film itself, Magaro’s role in the film is being kept under wrap.
This marks a reunion for Magaro and Chase who worked together on Not Fade Away, about a group of friends who form a rock band in the 1960s. Otherwise, Magaro has appeared in such films as Overlord, The Big Short, and Amazon Prime’s Jack Ryan and Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.
