Recently Disneyland invited out a few sites to check out Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the upcoming land inside the theme park that’s aiming to immerse guests into the world of Star Wars. That means making people believe they’re not inside an amusement park by giving them the ultimate Star Wars experience with action-packed attractions and selling food and toys that feel like they’re from a galaxy far, far away. Now it has been announced that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is coming really soon in California on May 31st at Disneyland. Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida will have it opened on August 29th.

The new land will be opening in phases, and the first phase will offer guests the chance to experience ‎Black Spire Outpost, a remote outpost in Batuu that was referenced in Solo: A Star Wars Story. You will be able to visit Oga’s Cantina and try out some drinks, including blue milk.

The Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will also be opened at this time, and a small group of 6 will be able to control the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. Before entering the cockpit, you’ll get to roam around in certain parts of the ship and take photos.

For phase two, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be opening, and this is considered the main attraction for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You will be helping out the Resistance, but your transport ship will be overtaken by The First Order. You will then be taken to a Star Destroyer where you’ll face an army of stormtroopers and two life-size AT-ATs.

To visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland from May 31 to June 23, 2019, you’ll need to have a ticket to the park and make a free reservation. You’ll also get a designated reservation, one per guest if you’re staying at any of the three Disneyland Resort hotels. To make the reservation, you’ll need to check back later at  Disneyland.com and the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

As for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests will need a valid ticket with no reservations needed. However, there will be a limit in terms of capacity. It’ll open on August 29 during Extra Magic Hours.
