March 2019 free games for PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold
Sony and Microsoft have both announced the slate of March 2019 free games that will be available to subscribing PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold members.
Two brand new titles join the PlayStation Plus free game lineup on March 5. PlayStation members will receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered to relive a true classic. Members will also receive The Witness, a first-person puzzler set on a seemingly-deserted tropical island. Both titles will be available to download from March 5 to April 1. PlayStation members can also still download Hitman and For Honor until March 4.

The PS Plus lineup also includes Divekick and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3, and Gunhouse and Rogue Aces on the PS Vita. The four titles can still be downloaded until March 8. Following March 8, PS3 and PS Vita games will no longer be part of the monthly free games lineup for PS Plus. Any games previously downloaded prior to March 8 will remain in your library as long as you are a member.
The PS Plus specials this month include Yakuza Kiwami 2 at 40% off and both Hollow Knight and Just Cause 4 at 50% off. The PS Plus specials for February are available until March 5, 2019. You can subscribe to PlayStation Plus via this link.
Xbox Live Gold members will receive four new free games — two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 — as part of the Games with Gold program. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion for free during the month of March. Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will be available as a free download from March 16 to April 15.
On Xbox 360, starting March 1st, Star Wars Republic Commando will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through March 15. Then on March 16, Xbox Live Gold members can download Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for free through March 31st. You can subscribe to Xbox Live Gold via this link.
