Amazon Studios has released a new clip for the upcoming drama Beautiful Boy starring Oscar-nominated actors Steve Carell (Foxcatcher) and Timothée Chalamet focusing on the former’s father character trying to reconnect with his son, also struggling from addiction problems, which can be viewed in the player below!

Based on the best-selling pair of memoirs from father and son David and Nic Sheff, the film chronicles the heartbreaking and inspiring experience of survival, relapse, and recovery in a family coping with addiction over many years.

Directed by Felix van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown) from a screenplay by Luke Davies (Lion) and van Groeningen, Amazon will release the film in theaters on October 12, 2018.
