Sorry for Your Loss trailer: Elizabeth Olsen stars in Facebook Watch drama
Facebook Watch has unveiled the new trailer for Sorry for Your Loss, starring Elizabeth Olsen as a woman dealing with the loss of her husband. The dark comedy co-stars Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Janet McTeer (Jessica Jones), and is expected to debut Tuesday, September 19. Check out the trailer below!
The 10-episode series was created and written by Kit Steinkellner (Z: The Beginning of Everything) and was previously set up at Showtime under the working title Widow before it was moved to Facebook Watch. Described as “simultaneously devastating and uplifting, with grounded, flawed characters desperate to find humor anywhere they can and dives into grief as an unavoidable, universal, transformative part of life. Leigh Shaw’s journey show us that grief is not something merely to endure, medicate away or ‘muscle through,’ but an essential part of the human experience.”
The series is executive produced by Robin Schwartz, Marc Turtletaub, and Peter Saraf for Big Beach TV, along with Cynthia Pett, Brad Petrigala, and Joe Liebman for Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Facebook is making a push into premium original content, with Olsen’s new series being one of the first high-end series ordered by the social media platform.
