AMC’s The Little Drummer Girl premiere set for three night event
AMC has officially announced the U.S. premiere date for their upcoming television adaptation of John le Carre’s bestselling spy novel The Little Drummer Girl. The miniseries is a three-night television event with two-hour episodes that are set run on-air from November 19 to November 21 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on AMC.

The Little Drummer Girl series is based on Le Carre’s action drama novel of the same name. Blurring the fine lines between love and hate; truth and fiction; and right and wrong; the series weaves a suspenseful and explosive story of espionage and high-stakes international intrigue. Set in the late 1970s, the pulsating thriller follows Charlie, a fiery actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets the mysterious Becker while on holiday in Greece. It quickly becomes apparent that his intentions are not what they seem, and her encounter with him entangles her in a complex plot devised by the spy mastermind Kurtz. Charlie takes on the role of a lifetime as a double agent while remaining uncertain of her own loyalties.
The cast includes Golden Globe award winner Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies, Hold the Dark) as Becker, Academy Award-nominee Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water, Nocturnal Animals) as Kurtz and BAFTA nominee Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth) as Charlie.
John Le Carre is no stranger to AMC as the cable giant brought forth an adaptation of his novel The Night Manager as a miniseries in 2016. The Little Drummer Girl will be executive produced by the same team that adapted The Night Manager and will mark the television debut of remarkable filmmaker Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, The Handmaiden).
The Little Drummer Girl is co-produced by the BBC, AMC and The Ink Factory, in partnership with 127 Wall. Simon and Stephen Cornwell serve as executive producers, along with John le Carré, Mona Qureshi for the BBC. Also Joe Tsai and Arthur Wang will executive produce for 127 Wall, Wonjo Jeong, and Park Chan-wook. AMC has give international distribution rights to Endeavor Content.
