Tell Me A Story: Danielle Campbell joins cast of fairytale thriller series

Deadline reports that Danielle Campbell (The Originals) has been cast in CBS All Access’ Tell Me A Story, a new psychological thriller series from the streaming service.

Campbell will be playing Kayla. Beautiful and full of anger, Kayla has just moved from Oakland to New York with her dad. She lost her mother a year ago and since then has strayed from her once promising path – hanging with the wrong crowd, partying…anything to distract from the pain and grief of her mother’s death. Campbell joins co-stars Billy Magnussen and Kim Cattrall, with Cattrall playing Kayla’s grandmother.

Tell Me A Story is written by Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries, Scream). He has adapted some of the world’s most well known fairy tales and flipped the script on them, making them into dark and psychological stories that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Williamson has adapted “Hansel and Gretel”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, and “The Three Little Pigs” for the upcoming first season.

William will executive produce with Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor. Liz Friedlander (Conviction) will be directing the first two episodes. She’ll also serve as a producer.
