Switch looks set to surpass PS2's first year of sales in Japan

From its launch in March to the end of December in its first year, the PS2 managed to sell 3,016,622 units. From its launch in March to late December in its first year, the Switch has sold 2,988,399 units. Believe it or not, the Switch looks set to surpass PS2 first year sales in Japan! That's quite a pace to set, especially considering the supply issues with Switch. We could see the Switch surpass first-year PS2 sales in Japan by the end of this month!
