New Ocean’s 8 photo is a den of all-star female thieves

Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures (via Entertainment Weekly) have a new Ocean’s 8 photo featuring Sandra Bullock and the all-star cast of the caper film. Check out the full photo in the gallery below!

“Yes, I am Danny Ocean’s sister,” Bullock confirms. “I’ve been incarcerated for about five years and you find out why during the course of the film. I mean, that’s sort of a tiny subplot. But that’s, you know, but I’m definitely his sister and we definitely come from the same family and we’re both very good at what we do in our own special way. So you can only imagine that once I get out, that’s when the heist ensues… We’re not a reboot. We’re just a ‘this is what’s happening in 2017.’ It’s not even a passing of the torch. It’s a parallel story of another family member that was raised in the same family Danny Ocean was and what happens when Debbie steps out of jail with all of these amazing, powerful women.”

In Summer 2018, the tide will turn as Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou (Cate Blanchett); Nine Ball (Rihanna); Amita (Mindy Kaling); Constance (Awkwafina); Rose (Helena Bonham Carter); Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway); and Tammy (Sarah Paulson). Matt Damon will cameo (presumably as his character Linus Caldwell from the other three films), James Corden will play an insurance investigator, and Dakota Fanning also has a role. Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Anna Wintour, Adriana Lima and Katie Holmes will have cameos.

Oscar-nominated filmmaker Gary Ross (The Hunger Games, Seabiscuit) is directing from a screenplay he wrote with Olivia Milch, with Steven Soderbergh and Jon Kilik producing, Michael Tadross, Susan Ekins, Sandra Bullock, Diana Alvarez and Bruce Berman executive producing, and Milch co-producing.
