Following last night’s new episode, The CW has released the first promo for next week’s episode of Arrow which sees Oliver Queen passing off the mantle of Green Arrow to his old friend: John Diggle. Diggle previously suited up as the emerald archer for an episode to shift suspicion away from Oliver, but now it seems he’s putting on the hood full time. Titled “Next of Kin,” the episode is set to air Thursday, October 26 and introduces the DC character Onyx to the Arrow-verse. The episode is officially described as follows:
“A rogue black ops team led by Onyx (guest star Chastity Dotson) breaks into Kord Industries and steals something lethal. Oliver struggles to connect with William (guest star Jack Moore) so he reaches out to a surprising source for help.”
Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode, which was written by Speed Weed & Oscar Balderrama.
Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, John Barrowman as Malcom Merlyn, with Paul Blackthorne as Detective Lance. Manu Bennett is back as Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, and his son, Joe Wilson, will be played by Liam Hall. Juliana Harkavy is playing Dinah Drake, David Nykl portrays Anatoly Knyazev, Michael Emerson is playing a mystery character, and Kirk Acevedo stars as Ricardo Diaz, aka Richard Dragon.
Based on the DC characters, the series is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Wendy Mericle and Sarah Schechter. Arrow is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
