The Belkin Boost UP 15W Rapid Wireless Charging Pad is one of the most popular 3rd party QI chargers available. I recently received one and tested it out to see how it would perform compared to other chargers.

This review did take a few days as I have a Galaxy S7 edge, which has a 3600 mAh battery that takes a long time to drain. So I made sure that with each separate test, I drained it down to 30% before charging back up to 100%.

Yes the Belkin did take the longest to charge. But the Samsung charging pad gets pretty hot which is common based from what I have researched. So I can see it being a benefit that the Belkin doesn’t get too hot. (I wouldn’t want to start a fire.) It is also worth noting that my wife saw the charger and was immediately impressed by it by placing her own phone on it to charge. So it is definitely a cool piece of technology that will impress your friends. And you can place it next to your couch or on a coffee table for your friends to use. It will make you look technologically sophisticated.
The Belkin Boost Up 15W Rapid Wireless Charging Pad Is Convenient
The device itself is very light and looks pretty darn cool even with the charging cable sticking out. It was also very functional in that my surge protector is next to my bed and it doesn’t overheat like many do when they are hidden. And because of that, I have tons of micro USB cables on the ground which I have tripped over countless times. But with this, I just wrapped it behind my nightstand and placed the pad on it. It was not only convenient, but I didn’t have to worry about tripping over my charging phone when I got up to pee or take the dogs out at night.
Lastly, the Belkin Boost Up 15W Rapid Wireless Charging Pad is extremely easy to set up. You plug the cable into the pad, plug it into an outlet and place your phone on it, Within 20 seconds of opening the box, it was ready to use. Therefore, it is great for anyone who isn’t technologically savvy. Granted it might not be the fastest charger, but if you’re at home, it’s probably OK to leave it on the charging pad for a while.
Overall the Belkin Boost Up 15W Rapid Wireless Charging Pad is a solid buy.
