Emma Watson singing as Belle in Beauty and the Beast

Dun dun dun! The question we’ve all been dying to know the answer to: how will Emma Watson capture the beautiful singing voice of our beloved Belle? With the live action movie coming out soon, and seeing the trailer for the first time, I’m sure we’re all very excited. But we have no idea how the musical aspect of the movie is going to go, because we have yet to see or hear anything about it! There was no singing or musical details in the original trailer, and, since then, I’m sure we’re all dying to know what that part of the movie is going to be like.

Comicbook.com recently uploaded a promo video, showcasing roughly 30 seconds of Emma Watson singing Something There, a classic song from the original film. Let’s have a listen!

What do you think? It honestly sounds quite similar to the original, with a more modern take on it, as opposed to that of a Broadway one. But that’s not really a bad thing, especially for a live action Disney film. It almost makes it seem more realistic. Emma Watson’s voice in general is very pretty and delicate, and her singing voice just adds to it all. I think she’s really going to embody Belle, as a whole!

The Beauty and the Beast live action film starring Watson will be in theaters March 17th.

Take a look at the newest insights we have on the movie:
