Atlus, known for its Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, has announced a new internal studio, Studio Zero. With a new studio comes an ambitious fantasy RPG title called Project Re Fantasy. The man behind the project is Katsura Hashino, the director of Persona 5, Catherine, and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

Not much is known about the game, but we do know that it will be different from the Persona and SMT series. The fantasy role-playing game is still in the early development stages. Think of a traditional fantasy RPG with an Atlus design.
Joining Hashino are character designer Shigenori Soejima from Atlus Artwork Team and music composer Shoji Meguro from Atlus Sound Team.
Hashino revealed that a platform hasn’t been decided yet.
“We haven’t determined yet what platform our new game will be, and I imagine this project will take a long time until completion. But we’ll be working hard at this challenge to truly deliver something new and incredible for all our fans,” said Hashino in a press release.
