Jim Rash and Nat Faxon are set to direct the upcoming film Batso and the Wall about rock climber Warren “Batso” Harding, according to THRBatso and the Wall will be financed and produced by 3311 Productions Mark Roberts and Ross Jacobson.

The script for Batso and the Wall was written by Eamon O’Sullivan and tells the story of Warren “Batso” Harding (1924-2002), a rock climber who lead the first team to climb El Capitan, Yosemite Valley, in 1958. His nickname referred to his ability to live for days on almost vertical cliffs and for using specialized equipment that he developed called “bat hooks” to hang on to small bits of granite and the “bat tent” to sleep. He also wrote the book Downward Bound: A Mad! Guide to Rock Climbing.
