Masters of the Universe: Noah Centineo ready for the power of Grayskull
Speaking with MTV News, Noah Centineo opened up about playing He-Man in Sony’s Masters of the Universe remake, reflecting on the challenges facing him with the role.

“It’s a really big responsibility,” Centineo said about playing He-Man. “It’s a new universe and it’s a new studio and their take on a universe. The Nee brothers, Adam and Aaron Nee, they’re directing it, and they’re the filmmakers in charge of the story, and they are doing one hell of a job developing the world and all these things, so. I can’t tell you what tone they’re going for, but they’re genius, so.”
One nugget he did reveal was that he is currently practicing the iconic line for the title character.
“I’ve been screaming it until my voice is vocally fried, man.”

Dolph Lundgren portrayed He-Man in 1987 for the first Masters of the Universe film. However, the characters date back to 1982, when Mattel debuted the Masters of the Universe toyline. The subsequent He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon series made its titular hero into an ’80s icon. A reboot series aired on Cartoon Network in 2002.
Sony has attempted to get a new Masters of the Universe movie into production for several years. Iron Man scribes Matt Holloway and Art Marcum rewrote the most recent draft of the film.
Production is expected to kick off in Prague in July with an expected release date of March 5, 2021.
