Jason Momoa is turned into Momo on social media

Parents around the world are freaking out thanks to the Momo Suicide Challenge, a hoax that has resurfaced thanks to local news stations and scared parents spreading the news yet again. With that said, the internet has decided to play along with the hysteria by making a new meme combining Momo and Jason Momoa, who can be seen in the live-action Aquaman film from Warner Bros. and DC. The results are pretty disturbing.

As for the actual Momo Suicide Challenge, people are led to believe that there are secret messages popping up in YouTube videos. However, it doesn’t exist since it’s an existing hoax, one that even surfaced less than a year ago. The Momo image is actually from a sculpture created by artist Keisuke Aisawa under Link Factory, a Japanese special effects company. The sculpture is called Mother Bird and was showcased at the Vanilla Gallery during its horror art show in 2016. The photos were then posted in the Creepy subreddit, which helped cultivate an urban legend of the “Momo challenge.”

You can check out the actual statue below, which shows even more of its weirdness. Along with the creepy hair and face are the bird-like legs with sharp talons.

Jason Momoa can be seen in Aquaman, the #1 DC film of all time at the worldwide box office. The aquatic film beat out films like The Dark Knight Rises, Wonder Woman and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It is pretty impressive since Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are known as the holy trinity of DC superheroes. An Aquaman sequel is in the works by Warner Bros with an expected release date of December 16, 2022. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who wrote the first film, is now working on the sequel’s script. James Wan said he’ll return to direct if the script is “seaworthy”.
