PAX is so big that it has conventions across the nation including PAX South, PAX West, PAX East, PAX Australia and PAX Unplugged. PAX South is happening January 18-20 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antoni, TX, and the exhibitors list has been released. There will be over 160 exhibitors present including PlayStation, Capcom and Bandai Namco, and they will be showing off games like Days Gone, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Jump Force. So this is what PlayStation has planned when it’s busy skipping E3.

Days Gone is the upcoming PlayStation 4 game developed by SIE Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The action-adventure game is set in a post-apocalyptic zombie world, and it will be released on April 26, 2019.

Capcom is remaking Resident Evil 2, and gamers will get to relive the zombie survival horror as they control Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. It’ll be out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 25, 2019.

Capcom is continuing the Devil May Cry saga with Devil May Cry 5 featuring Dante and Nero. The hack and slash action-adventure game will release on March 8, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

This will mark the fifth year for PAX South, and attendees will get to participate in all sorts of activities including tabletop gaming, esports competitions at the PAX Arena, video game music concerts, play upcoming titles and vendors. There are panels including “Storytime” keynote with God of War director Cory Barlog. You can check out the complete schedule at the PAX site.

There are still badges available, with three-day badges going for $85 and single-day passes going for $42. Kids from age 7 to 12 can go in for $10 on Sunday. Those who buy badges online will get the chance to get exclusive PAX South 2019 merchandise like a zipper bag, office set and limited edition Level Up Dice Stand + Dice.

PAX originated from the Penny Arcade webcomic by artist Jerry Holkins and artist Mike Krahulik that poked fun at video games and its culture. It became very popular, and soon after, it spawned the PAX gaming conventions. The first PAX took place in Seattle in 2004 and has doubled in size year after year. PAX has expanded beyond Seattle with locations in Boston, San Antonio, Philadelphia, and Melbourne.
