Far Cry 5 is Ubisoft’s next installment in the hit action/adventure FPS franchise. We got to take a spin around the world of Hope County, Montana, and it could be one of Ubisoft’s most ambitious titles yet.
Fary Cry 5 feels like previous entries in the series, but it has been revamped and improved upon to a greater scale without losing its spirit. The story centers around a militaristic doomsday cult that has taken over a large portion of Hope County. Its world is beautifully lush, full of life and is the perfect stage for the narrative of the game.
The player takes the role of the new deputy in town and is tasked with arresting the leader of the cult, Joseph Seed. This is complicated by Joseph’s family members, as they protect him and are helping increase his influence throughout the county.
The entire game can be played solo with the ability to hire allies in the Guns for Hire systems, or by training animals with the Fang for Hire System. Far Cry 5 can also be played entirely in online co-op with a friend. We were unable to show off this feature in our footage below. But it was as fun as you’d imagine.
