Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn’t the film that some fans had hoped for. The film also didn’t exactly end on a high note either. Superman is “dead” and the world is now realizing what the world without Superman is like. As it turns out, it’s not Wonder Woman that you should be watching prior to Justice League but Batman v Superman instead. Justice League will pick up after the events of Clark Kent’s funeral at the end of Batman v Superman. Unsurprisingly, Superman’s death will have a rippling effect throughout the entire film.
In the latest issue of “Total Film”, the magazine reveals that the film will begin with “Superman in the grave after sacrificing himself during the battle against Doomsday. Batman and Wonder Woman are gathered in mourning before Steppenwolf makes himself known, leaving the duo to team up with other enhanced heroes.”
In reality, fans know that the Man of Steel will eventually return to save the day—despite the lack of Superman in the Justice League trailers.
This news comes on the heels of Superhero News’ story about the Justice League reshoots not being as “extensive” as previously reported. Yet these reshoots are still ongoing with Joss Whedon at the helm. Be that as it may, Zack Snyder’s original vision is still intact with Whedon’s reshoots seemingly just add-ons. Nevertheless, with Justice League‘s release seemingly on the horizon, many fans are nervous as to what final product will be shown in theaters.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League hits theaters on November 17th.
