CES 2017 Awards

Another CES has passed, and it was filled with new technology that will change our daily lives, with everything from self-driving vehicles, companion apps that will let us do everything with a command, and tons of smart devices. We’ve decided to look back and see what impressed us the most at this year’s show:

This year’s CES, LG unveiled the brand new (and not yet available) W7 OLED, which might be the most impressive TV you will ever see yet. With the nickname of “Wallpaper,” the LG W7 is only 3.85mm thick which is less than a stack of 2 nickels! Even from the side, the TV is nearly invisible but still offers a wide field of view. The W7 can only be mounted to the wall using a magnetic mount and has a single cable that goes to the impressive 4.2 channel speaker bar which pop ups 2 speakers and acts as the media player or source connectors. The soundbar also supports Dolby Atmos which we were able to experience, and it definitely lives up to its expectations.

It may not be the most practical thing in the world, but Razer’s Project Valerie is a nerd’s dream come true. Featuring three built-in 17.3-inch 4K monitors, each display mechanically slides out of the side of the main screen and adjusts into place, making it easy for users to deploy and something you can take with you almost anywhere. Just make sure you have a power source.

It’s an awesome concept that takes advantage of the already existing Razer Blade Pro.

Turn your room into the ultimate gaming experience! Project Ariana turns your entire wall into a giant screen using a cutting-edge video projector which uses an ultra-wide fisheye lens and advanced processing capabilities to take your game beyond your setup.

Using the custom calibration software to automatically detect your monitor and environmental factors, easily turn your room into the ultimate gaming room that goes far beyond your imagination as your friends can also enjoy the experience of you playing. You can also sync your audio and external lights to the system to create a completely different atmosphere!

Sony showcased the Sony Xperia Projector, a device that can turn any surface into a 21-inch touchscreen. We’re getting really close to becoming Tony Stark.

Since the projector is powered by Android, it will work with tons of apps and also features a built-in camera which can be used for video conferencing. Just think of it like your very own tablet that you can pull out of thin air. Just turn it on and point it to any surface.
