Last season ended with Barry going back in time to stop his mother’s murderer, and in doing so, he changed his world in the present. This is The CW’s take on the popular Flash comic book story arc, Flashpoint. In the comic book version, Barry wakes up in a timeline where his mom is not murdered and the heroes are at war, Batman is Thomas Wayne, and Captain Cold is a good guy, Citizen Cold. This was just a tip of the story arc.
Of course, we don’t know how much of the comic story we’ll see in this upcoming season. We know the major heroes will probably not be shown but Captain Cold maybe. We already see 2 other Flashes in the pictures, Kid Flash and Reverse Flash.
