Criminal has a particularly unique premise, by only showing what takes place exclusively within the confines of a police interview suite. This makes for a stripped-down, cat-and-mouse drama that will focus on the intense mental showdown between the cop and the suspect in question.

Despite its stripped-down setting, the scope of Criminal will reach across the globe, as the procedural will be comprised of 12 unique stories set in four different countries: France, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Each of the 12 episodes, all 45 minutes in length, will be in the local language of the country it takes place in, as well as be written and directed by local creatives.
