Archer season 11 official trailer: He’s awake and back in the spy game!

After announcing a few months back that the highly-anticipated eleventh season of the hit animated comedy would be delayed, FXX has debuted the first official trailer for the next chapter of Archer at Comic-Con@Home, also revealing a September premiere date! Archer is FXX’s Emmy Award-winning, animated comedy that, in its tenth season, centers around the spaceship M/V Seamus as Archer, Lana, and the rest of the crew explore deep space and try to outsmart space princes, intergalactic pirates and vicious bounty hunters.

The past few seasons of the series have seen the characters in different timelines including a 1947-set noir mystery entitled Dreamland, a 1938-set treasure-hunting adventure entitled Danger Island and the most-recent space-set 1999, as the titular spy was left in a coma after being shot in the stomach in the seventh season finale. The tenth season finale saw the hit spy finally awake from his coma, only to learn it’s been three years and the world has begun to move on from him, but that his antagonistic mother, Malory, remained by his side for every day during his coma.

In season 11 of the series, Sterling Archer is ready to return to the spy world after a three-year coma. While many things changed during his absence, Archer is confident it will take just a little time for him to reset things back to the old ways. The problem: does the rest of the team want that? The others may not be ready for his return to throw a wrench in their well-oiled machine.

The series is created by Reed and led by a voice cast featuring H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash and Lucky Yates, and is executive produced by Matt Thompson. Season 11 of Archer will premiere on FXX on September 16!
