First published in Astounding Science Fiction Magazine in November 1951, Hunting Season will follow the story of a law officer from the future, who is declared as an enemy of the state and sentenced to be executed by being sent to the past and stalked by a posse. He only has three days to get use to the new era while also finding a way to survive. The outlet also notes that the film is being likened to other classic sci-fi films such a 1984, Fahrenheit 451,and The Running Man.

Frank M. Robinson is best known for writing sci-fi and techo-thriller novels such as The Power and The Glass Inferno which were both adapted into films with The Glass Inferno being one of the two books that were combined to make John Guillermin’s 1974 classic disaster film The Towering Inferno which starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. In 2014, Robinson died at the age of 87 and his most recent works were: 2004’s medical thriller novel The Donor and 2010’s The Errand Boy novelette.
