The streaming service has immediately given a straight-to-series order to the untitled four-part docuseries. Further details about the series are currently under wraps but is being described as an unbelievable true story of one of the largest scams in government history. Brian Lazarte (Sonic Highways) and James Hernandez (Wonder Women) are set as producers through their Fun Meter Productions banner.

Lazarte and Hernandez gained recognition for their 6-part HBO documentary series McMillions which told the story of how ex-cop Jerome Jacobson had rigged the McDonald’s Monopoly Game and allegedly stole over $24 million. The film adaptation of the McScam story is also currently in development with Oscar winners Ben Affleck to direct and Matt Damon to star.
