Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker continues to hold tight to the #1 slot at the box office as it took in $33.7 million in its third weekend, giving it a domestic total of $450.7 million for a worldwide total of $918.7 million. For comparison, the domestic total for 2017’s The Last Jedi in its third weekend was $517.2 million while 2015’s The Force Awakens was at $742.2 million. At this rate you can expect the final film in the Skywalker Saga to take in slightly less than Last Jedi domestically but a bit more at worldwide, while trailing Force Awakens on both fronts.

Sony’s Jumanji: The Next Level held onto the #2 spot with $26.5 million for a domestic total of $236.2 million and a worldwide cume of $610.2 million. Four weekends in at this point two years ago Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle had collected $284.2 million.

Another big Sony release, director Greta Gerwig’s new take on Little Women, climbed a spot to #3 with $13.5 million for a domestic tally of $60 million and a worldwide of $80.4 million. That already pushes it past Sony’s 1994 version of Little Women starring Winona Ryder, which took in around $50 million 26 years ago.

Meanwhile Sony’s The Grudge reboot opened above expectations at #4 with $11.3 million domestically for a worldwide total of $17.1 million. Brand name recognition and producer Sam Raimi’s name might have helped this one along, but the horror flick’s horrendous “F” CinemaScore (only the 20th film to ever achieve the dubious honor) doesn’t bode well for future weekends.

Disney’s Frozen II fell two spots to #5 with $11.3 million for a domestic total of $449.8 million. However, the animated has now become the highest grossing animated release of all time worldwide with $1.325 billion compared to the first Frozen‘s $1.28 billion and Incredibles 2‘s $1,243 billion.
