Fans have had to anxiously wait for the DOOM sequel after the game was pushed back from its original November release date, but something tells us the title will be more than worth the wait. As the DOOM Slayer, you’ll return to take your vengeance against the forces of Hell. Set to an all-new pulse-pounding soundtrack composed by Mick Gordon, you’ll fight across dimensions as you slay new and classic demons with powerful new weapons and abilities. Resident Evil 3 Remake

The producers of Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 remake have confirmed that their work on the game “is about 90%” completed and believe “there will be no delay.” The remake is said to be “even more of a remix of the original” than the Resident Evil 2 remake was, including making the cast of the game “more compelling.” The title will also include Project Resistance, a terrifying single-player campaign and one-versus-four online multiplayer. In the remake, players will escape the ruination of Raccoon City as Jill Valentine in the reimagination of the survival horror classic. The title is expected to be released on April 3 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Cyberpunk 2077

Our most highly-anticipated game of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 is set in the fictional world of Night City, California in the year 2077. The world is broken while MegaCorps manage every aspect of life from the top floors of their sky-scraping fortresses. The streets are run by drug-pushing gangs, tech hustlers, and illegal braindance slingers. The in-between is where decadence, sex, and pop culture mix with violent crime, extreme poverty, and the unattainable promise of the American Dream. CD Projekt Red’s open-world RPG, featuring the one and only Keanu Reeves, will include multiplayer action sometime after the game’s launch on April 16 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Marvel’s Avengers

Square Enix’s action-adventure game begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco, including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. The Avengers disband, and five years later, with all superheroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble. Gamers will live their superhero dreams within the cinematic storytelling and ever-expanding universe with single-player and co-operative gameplay. The game will release on May 15 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Last of Us Part II

Set five years after the events of the first game, 19-year-old Ellie has found a semblance of peace and normality living in Jackson. She’s had a chance to be a teenager and forge lasting relationships. When that peace is disrupted by a violent act, Ellie is thrust into a brutal journey of retribution, fueled by a need to bring those that have wronged her to justice, pushing her to her very limits. From the way Ellie plays to the way she navigates through this hostile world, you’re going to feel her physical, emotional, and mental state expressed through every facet of gameplay. Naughty Dog’s highly-anticipated sequel will launch on May 29 on the PlayStation 4.

Ghost of Tsushima

Sucker Punch Productions’ action-adventure title takes place in 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan, until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting—the way of the Ghost—as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan. The game made a big splash at the 2019 Game Awards and is expected to launch this Summer 2020 on the PlayStation 4.

Dying Light 2

The sequel to 2015’s Dying Light is a survival horror action RPG from Square Enix. It’s been 15 years since humanity lost to the virus. The last great human settlement exists within an unforgiving, infected world, plunged into a modern dark age. You play Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor with exceptional agility and brutal combat skills. Players will make tough decisions and hard sacrifices as you decide the fate of a society on the brink of collapse. The effect of the choices you make will have a huge impact on entire regions of the city. You can play the entire campaign in a single-player or up to four-player co-op. The game will release in Spring 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Halo Infinite

In Halo Infinite, players won’t alternate between playing as the Master Chief and others but instead will continue his saga after the events of Halo 5, taking the franchise in ambitious and unexpected directions, powered by an all-new Slipspace Engine. The first-person shooter from 343 Industries and Xbox Game Studios will release sometime during Holiday 2020 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The upcoming LEGO-themed action-adventure game will allow you to play through all nine saga films in a brand-new video game unlike any other. Fly across space to the saga’s most memorable planets, in any order, at any time. The Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment title will release sometime in 2020 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
