Google Stadia has a tough hill to climb ever since its launch, and there are still some streaming issues with the cloud-based gaming platform. Its library mainly consists of previously released games on other platforms, so it’s always nice to see a game on Stadia that’s launching at the same time with other platforms. That’s the case with Darksiders Genesis, which is now available on PC for $29.99 and Stadia for $39.99. PC games are usually priced cheaper than their console versions, so it’s not surprising to see it cheaper than the Stadia version.
Darksiders Genesis is a top-down hack and slash RPG from developer Airship Syndicate (Battlechasers: Nightwar). It’s the first game in the franchise that offers two-player co-op, and you can play as War or Strife as they battle against demons, angels and other creatures.
The console version of Darksiders Genesis won’t be available until later, so that’s a plus for Stadia Pro subscribers and PC players. Let’s see if Stadia can pull off more timed exclusives in the future.
As for Stadia Pro subscribers, they can now claim free games like Destiny 2: The Collection, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Farming Simulator 19 Platinum Edition and Samurai Shodown.
Aside from Darksiders Genesis, Stadia has the following games available including Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Attack on Titan: Final Battle 2, Destiny 2: The Collection, Farming Simulator 2019, Final Fantasy XV, Football Manager 2020, Grid 2019, Gylt, Just Dance 2020, Kine, Metro Exodus, Mortal Kombat 11, NBA 2K20, Rage 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Red Dead Redemption 2, Samurai Shodown, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Thumper, Tomb Raider 2013, Trials Rising, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
Borderlands 3, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, and Dragon Ball: Xenoverse will be released before the end of the year. Games coming to the Stadia in 2020 include Doom Eternal, WatchDogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters and Cyberpunk 2077.
