The Batman Who Laughs is from another universe, and it’s what happens when Batman ends up like the Joker. One of the most twisted supervillains is getting a new sculpture with The Batman Who Laughs Cowl. Based on the art of Greg Capullo from sculptor Jonathan Matthews, it’s now available at DC Collectibles.
The cowl is a 1:2 scale that measures approximately 10.14″ tall, and it’s made of polyresin. This is a finely sculpted bust that looks like it’s straight out of the comics, complete with metallic ears and a big collar. The cowl has a nice weight to it, and the spikes are sturdy, with each having a nice pointy edge. (Don’t worry, you won’t get stabbed from it.) Since this is just the cowl, The Batman Who Laughs’ face isn’t featured. The paint job is superb with the spikes and ears giving off a silvery look.
There’s a plaque on the base with the logo and title for The Batman Who Laughs. The logo features the iconic Batman symbol with the Joker smiley face plastered on top of it.
With its first-rate paint job and detailed and accurate sculpt, The Batman Who Laughs Cowl is a quality made item from DC Collectibles.
Each DC Gallery’s The Batman Who Laughs Cowl comes with a certificate of authenticity. It’s part of the new DC Collectibles Gallery collection, and there are only 5,000 available. It retails for $90 each and is now available from DC Collectibles.
The Batman Who Laughs is from the Dark Knights: Metal series by artist Greg Capullo and writer Scott Snyder.
Other cowls from the DC Gallery are available including Rebirth Batman Cowl, Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman Cowl and The Dark Knight Returns Batman Cowl.
The cowl was provided by DC Collectibles for review purposes.
