Channing Tatum reteaming with Dear John team for Soundtrack of Silence
Variety has brought word that Channing Tatum (Logan Lucky) is teaming up once again with the writer and producing squad behind the 2010 adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks romantic war drama Dear John for the upcoming romantic drama Soundtrack of Silence.

Based on a true story from KQED and scripted by Jamie Linden, who previously worked with Tatum on the dramedy 10 Years on which he was writer/director, the film tells the story of Matt and Nora Hay as the former learns as a sophomore in college he would soon go deaf and attempts to memorize his favorite songs in order to preserver his most important memories, namely the ones that led him to fall in love with his then girlfriend and now wife, Nora.
In addition to starring in the film, Tatum is also set to produce alongside Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan for their banner Free Association, Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner and John Fischer. Tatum previously worked with Temple Hill and Linden on Dear John, which may have received mixed reviews but was a box office hit and was praised for its performances, helping cement the actor’s potential to be an A-list star for the future.

It’s been over two years since audiences have physically seen the 39-year-old actor on the big or small screen, with 2017 proving to be a big year with a supporting role in the spy action blockbuster Kingsman: the Golden Circle and Logan Lucky, but the majority of his work in the past few years have left audiences listening to him with cameo appearances as Superman in The Lego Batman Movie and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, as well as the animated fantasy adventure Smallfoot.
