This past month we’ve seen the release of two packs in the Adidas x Star Wars collaboration and in true Star Wars fashion, Adidas is set to release its final themed-pack, ultimately ending its very own Star Wars trilogy. The final pack to accompany the lightsaber pack and space battle pack will be the Characters-themed pack, taking the most iconic and favorable characters throughout the Star Wars franchise and casting them in Adidas history.
This third and final installment, which will be released just in time for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, will pay homage to characters of both the light and dark sides of the force. The silhouettes that will be involved in this pack will include the Adidas Nite Jogger, Superstar, and the popular NMD.
The most beloved Robot R2-D2 and the Stormtrooper will both embody the Nite Jogger. Both shoes will have accented and reflective details and namesake logos. It will include lace charms, a custom Adidas stamp that will feature each character and associated crests that can be found on the shoe’s upper heel. On the Stormtrooper Nite Jogger, there will be an imprint on the boost that will read “OPEN THE BLAST DOORS!”
The NMD silhouette will carry several different characters, starting with both Darth Vader and Jedi Master Yoda. As each character represents both the light and dark sides of the force, both shoes will come with a monochromatic look that will feature bright accents on the heel and tongue. Both shoes will also feature a Star Wars lace charm, custom stamped logos and character-specific iconic quotes, with the Darth Vader shoe reading “JOIN ME AND TOGETHER WE CAN RULE THE GALAXY,” and the Yoda’s reading “DO. OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY.”
Adding to the NMB silhouette will also be designs dedicated to Rey and Princess Leia, which is created exclusively for women. The shoe dedicated to Rey will be provided with a colorway of light brown with a blue facade, with a slogan on the heel tab reading “LIGHT. DARKNESS. A BALANCE.” The princess-Leia shoe will have a stippled, watercolor outer with the colors white, black, tan, and Maroon. Gold accents will be included on the shoelaces and logos, while the word “HOPE” will be stamped on the backside of each heel.
The characters-themed pack will be released on Monday, December 2 on Adidas.com and select retail stores. Prices for the shoes will range between $50-$130 USD.
