A Mandalorian Movie Could Happen, Plus a Season 2 Set Photo!

A Mandalorian film could happen, plus a Season 2 set photo!

We’re only one episode into The Mandalorian and Disney+ is already peering far ahead into the show’s future — a future that might involve a trip to the big screen. According to Disney chief creative officer and co-chairman Alan Horn, should the Star Wars spinoff prove a success, it’s possible the show could spawn a feature film.

“The Mandalorian is already proving to be a big thing, so if that series proves to be so compelling that we reverse engineer it into a theatrical release, a two-hour film or whatever, O.K.,” Horn told Variety.

Okay, so maybe it’s not much of a confirmation, but where there’s smoke there’s fire. And if Horn is mentioning it, then you know the people over at Disney have at least mulled over the possibility. In any event, a film likely won’t happen for a long time considering Jon Favreau is already hard at work on Season 2, as proven by a new image he posted from the set…
