Apple TV+ renews See, Dickinson and more for a second season

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apple TV+ has renewed four of their upcoming shows including Jason Momoa’s big scale sci-fi series See, Hailee Steinfeld’s comedy-drama Dickinson, Kumail Nanjiani’s anthology series Little America and Hilde Lysiak mystery drama Home Before Dark for a second season. The renewals came ahead of the streaming service’s launch on November 1.

Starring Hailee Steinfeld, Dickinson is set during Emily Dickinson’s era with a modern sensibility and tone. It takes viewers into the world of Emily, audaciously exploring the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit into her own time through her imaginative point of view. Production has already begun on the second season.

See is Apple TV+’s big budget sci-fi drama which will star Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. It takes place in in a future where humanity has lost the ability to perceive the world with sight. According to the outlet, Apple reportedly spent $240 million for series’ two seasons.

Little America is an immigration-themed anthology series based on the true stories featured in Epic Magazine. It will be executive produced by The Big Sick writers Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon.

Home Before Dark is inspired by the life of 11-year-old Hilde Lysiak and will follow the young girl as she moves to a small lakeside town with her family and unearths a cold case that the town and her father have worked hard to keep buried. It will star Brooklynn Prince and Jim Sturgees.

Dickinson and See are also scheduled to debut on November 1 while official premiere dates for Little America and Home Before Dark are yet to be announced.
