In the final trailer to the sequel to the 1980 classic Stephen King-horror-film The Shining, Doctor Sleep shows an older Danny Torrance (Ewan McGregor) returning to the Hotel that possessed his father and brought out his ‘Shining’ abilities.
Based on King’s best-selling novel, Danny, who is still traumatized from his childhood, has found some sort of peace living in seclusion, but is brought out once again when he finds a little girl (Kyliegh Curran) with the same abilities as him. He finds out there is a group, led by Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson), killing off people with the ‘shining’ ability and must do whatever it takes to save the girl, including returning to the place he sought to never return to.
