The Aeronauts trailer looks for answers beyond the clouds
Amazon has finally unleashed The Aeronauts trailer onto the world, much like a hot air balloon being unleashed to study our planet’s weather — which also happens to be the plot of the movie. You can check out the trailer in the post below!
The Aeronauts stars Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Ascending) and Felicity Jones (Inferno), who previously worked together on the acclaimed biopic The Theory of Everything for which Jones was nominated for an Oscar and Redmayne won the Oscar, play balloon pilot Amelia Wren and scientist James Glaisher who, in 1862, embarked on an extraordinary journey to discover the secrets of the heavens. In the process, they flew higher in an open balloon than anyone had before or has since. They made breathtaking discoveries, but as they ascended to the highest points of the atmosphere, they were forced into an epic fight for survival.
The film is produced and directed by Tom Harper (War & Peace), written by Jack Thorne (National Treasure) and will also star Tom Courtenay (The Golden Compass), Anne Reid (Hot Fuzz), Rebecca Front (Doctor Thorne), Vincent Perez (Riviera), Tim McInnerny (Game of Thrones), Phoebe Fox (Eye in the Sky) and Himesh Patel (EastEnders).
The Aeronauts will start its theatrical run on December 6, before premiering on Amazon on December 20.
