It’s been two years since Disney announced that there would be a Guardians of the Galaxy ride built at Epcot. Now, we have more information about the ride thanks to the D23 Parks & Products panel. First of all, we can now call the ride, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Also, the ride will be a part of the new World Discovery pavilion, and the ride is just one of the many changes coming to Epcot in the coming year.
The experience will begin in a “Galaxarium”, a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the differences and similarities about the creation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar’s. Guests will learn more about Xandar during the ride. However, as it usually does with the Guardians, things don’t always go to plan. Once things go sideways, your roller coaster adventure begins.
The roller coaster will be the first reverse launch coaster at a Disney park. Also, the ride will feature a new innovation by Disney Imagineers. During the ride, the vehicle will rotate 360-degrees so you can focus on all of the action. Unfortunately, there aren’t any more details about the ride.
