Teacher trailer: First look at David Dastmalchian’s new thriller
The official trailer for Ant Man and the Wasp actor David Dastmalchian‘s forthcoming psychological thriller film titled Teacher has been released (via Collider), highlighting the lengths of what a teacher can do to protect his favorite students from bullies. Also starring Kevin Pollack (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), the film will be available on digital, DVD and VOD on August 13.

Teacher is an unflinching portrayal of trauma as a contagion passed between people and generations, all set within the prism of modern suburbia. The film follows the downward spiral of a high school English teacher (Dastmalchian) as he goes to disturbing lengths to protect his favorite students from bullies and challenge the power of a wealthy patron (Pollak) within the community.

The film is written and directed by Adam Dick. It is produced by Matthew Helderman and Zachary Kamen. The film will have its world premiere at Laemmle Glendale in Los Angeles on August 2. It will also have a one-night-only screening at the Logan Theater, Chicago on August 3.
