Elizabeth Tulloch Returning as Lois Lane for Crisis on Infinite Earths

The CW shared a handful of new details about its highly-anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover at Comic-Con. Among other announcements, it was confirmed that Tyler Hoechlin would be back as the Arrowverse’s Clark Kent/Superman, so fans were curious if his best girl would be coming along for the ride. Now, Entertainment Weekly brings word that Elizabeth Tulloch will indeed be reprising her role as Lois Lane later this year.

Tulloch made her Arrowverse debut last winter just in time for Elseworlds. In that event’s final episode, Lois revealed that she was pregnant and that she and Clark would be heading to Argo City to have their baby. EW notes that their child will also make an appearance during the five-part crossover. It’s anyone’s guess at this point whether Lois and Clark are having a boy or a girl. However, the newest Superboy, Jonathan Kent, is Clark and Lois’ son in the comics.

Hoechlin won’t be the only Man of Steel who shows up for the upcoming Crisis. Brandon Routh, who normally plays the Atom in the Arrowverse, will also portray an alternate version of Clark Kent. Routh revealed that he’ll be sporting an outfit inspired by Superman’s Kingdom Come costume. But if his universe is a direct adaptation of its comic book source material, that may mean that his Lois Lane is long dead. So don’t expect Routh’s Superman Returns co-star Kate Bosworth to get another shot at bringing the intrepid reporter to life.
