It looks like it won’t be the last time we see the cast and creatives of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
According to Deadline, HBO’s hit series, which ended last month, will have its last hurrah in San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H. The series did not make an appearance at last year’s convention as they were deep in filming for the final season. Now, with everything out there, and *spoiler alert* Bran Stark as King of the Six Kingdoms (the North is now independently run by Sansa Stark), we can now just celebrate the past 8 seasons with the cast and crew.
The plan is still in the works for the award-winning ensemble to show up to the convention, which may include executive producers/showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss, actors Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, John Bradley, Gwendoline Christie, Liam Cunningham, Maisie Williams and Isaac Hempstead Wright. It is unclear if Harington will make an appearance to the convention as he is currently checked into a wellness facility in Connecticut.
As for the other HBO properties, there is no word whether or not Westworld would make an appearance, especially with new cast members Aaron Paul, Lena Waithe, and Vincent Cassel. Westworld is set to return sometime in 2020, which could mean they could make an appearance at NYCC or even next year’s Comic-Con.
Currently, there have been no announcements from San Diego Comic-Con, but we do know that Warner Bros/DC Comics will not be making an appearance at this year’s Hall H. Disney has not confirmed whether or not they will make an appearance at Hall H, which seems unlikely since D23 is within the same month. Fans should expect AMC’s The Walking Dead and many of the CW series to make a panel appearance.
San Diego Comic-Con 2019 runs July 17-21.
