Many Terminator sequels have come out, but none have been able to match the cinematic tour de force known as Terminator 2: Judgement Day from director James Cameron. Terminator: Dark Fate is the next film in the Terminator franchise, and it could be the sequel we’re looking for. It’s bringing back Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger as an aging Terminator. To entice fans even further, James Cameron has a hand in writing the story. Paramount and Fox have released the teaser trailer for the film, and we get a taste of the action with a new deadly Terminator and a new time-traveling hero.
In addition to the trailer, a featurette has been released that gives us more insight into the film. In the video, Cameron says that Terminator: Dark Fate is the direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. So there’s that.
The film is directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), produced by James Cameron and David Ellison, and written by David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Billy Ray from a story by James Cameron, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, Goyer and Rhodes. It stars Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie David, Natalie Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.
Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1, 2019.
