The Hunt For Coulson

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 2 Recap

SHIELD is mourning the loss of Agent Fox, but continues to search for new anomalies and any sightings of the big rig. May is shook by the appearance of a Coulson look-alike. Benson suggests that this is SHIELD’s doing, since Coulson died and was resurrected once before. The theory that maybe Sarge is a Life Model Decoy is debunked when Benson shows that Sarge not only has DNA, which LMDs don’t have, but that it is a 100% match to Coulson’s.

May and Yo-Yo head to the shipping yard, where a security guard was shot at by Sarge with an energy weapon. The two don’t find anything unusual right away, but are called away before they can investigate further. Sarge and his team are robbing a jewelry store. The agents arrive to find that Sarge and his crew have locked themselves inside the vault, but have opened a portal between the wall of the vault and the truck and are transporting stolen crystals from the former to the latter.

While Yo-Yo leads the team attempting to plasma cut their way into the vault, May follows a hunch and returns to the shipping yard. From on top of a stack of shipping containers, she spots tire tracks that stop in the middle of the yard. Sarge pops out of the truck to test the gems as a power source, and May fights her way into the truck and through Pax, Jaco, and Snowflake. Sarge returns to the truck, distracting May, who is pushed through the portal into the vault. The portal is closed just as the team gets the vault door open.

Fitz In Space

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 2 Recap

Fitz and Enoch lied their way onto a ship headed fro Naro-Atzia, where he can re-enter cryo-stasis. However, the two are outed as terrans. Fitz and Enoch prove their value as engineers, realigning the ships heat shields and fixing a leaky air lock. Viro, the ship’s controller, decides that he doesn’t need to pay the rest of the engineering crew if he has Fitz and Enoch working for free, so he threatens to dump them into space. Fitz tells Viro that he’ll have to dump him as well, then, because he won’t stand back and watch innocent crew members killed. Viro throws Fitz into the airlock as well and hit the release, but Fitz re-engineered it so that Viro and his goons are the ones dumped into space while Fitz and the others are safe in the airlock until Enoch releases them.

Knowing that the crew will be seen as mutineers and put to death when they land on Naro-Atzia, Fitz opts to fly to the planet Kitson, instead, where the crew can disembark safely and be hired on to another ship. Fitz turns away from Naro-Atzia just as Daisy and Simmons’s ship jumps into orbit above Naro-atzia.
